Colorization is taking place everywhere you look. Often a picture looks better in black and white, so that's a decision you have to make.
Usually the picture needs to be restored and prepared for colorization. Input is gathered, if there is not already a color picture of the subject, regarding hair and eye color, complexion and the desired colors for the clothing or furniture.
The finished, colorized picture can be output to a large format printer for poster size prints or any number of sizes. This type of restoration is a wonderful way to have a color picture of a loved one or friend when no color picture exists.
Once again it's a great way to preserve and even resurrect memories that used to reside in an old shoebox.
